About the role
- Partner closely with the General Manager to oversee daily hotel operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Lead and support department teams to maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and brand compliance.
- Provide hands-on leadership across all hotel areas, working flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
- Deliver 24/7 on-call operational support while ensuring compliance with franchise standards and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Drive guest satisfaction by monitoring feedback, resolving concerns promptly, and implementing service improvement initiatives.
- Support revenue optimization efforts through effective pricing, inventory management, and preventative maintenance strategies.
- Contribute to financial performance by monitoring budgets, analyzing reports, controlling payroll and overtime, and maintaining productivity standards.
- Oversee invoice coding, purchasing, and inventory management to ensure financial accuracy and cost control.
- Manage hotel cash handling procedures, deposits, and capital expenditures in accordance with company policies.
- Foster a positive team culture through recruitment, training, coaching, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and security standards, including OSHA, HAZCOM, and Bloodborne Pathogens compliance.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel, assisting with inspections and operational support as needed.
Requirements
- Previous management experience in the hospitality industry required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive service excellence.
- Solid understanding of hotel financial performance, payroll management, and operational controls.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in hotel systems and computer applications; prior front desk experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional hospitality education preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing and walking for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
