QA Engineer

• Location: Cambridge, UK (remote-friendly within the UK) with occasional travel to the office once per quarter.
• As the QA Lead for RuneScape, you will oversee the QA efforts across multiple Scrum teams throughout the entire development lifecycle; work to instill a “shift-left” mindset across the team and embed it into our processes, you'll prioritise player satisfaction and drive quality standards, lead high-performing individuals with trust, empathy and candour, and challenge positively.
• Supports and informs Product & QA Strategy: Drive QA craft initiatives in partnership with QA Director and Supports product strategy by aligning the team to the products direction
• Support delivery of weekly updates by overseeing multiple Scrum teams and supporting with capacity planning & risk management
• Lead & develop people through mentoring and coaching
• Shape test strategy by engaging in project test design, planning, and estimations
• Support and contribute to daily QA activities (test planning, execution etc)
• Identify and address workflow problems
• Manage external partners relations
• Collaborates with all disciplines across the Product to understand their needs and goals
• Organizes and facilitates team workshops, meetings and activities

QA Lead

Network Engineer

• Design, implement, and maintain network and online systems including multiplayer code, bandwidth management, dedicated servers, platform services, databases, and cloud-based microservices.
• Select and advocate for the most effective technical solutions, pipelines, and architectures for networking and online features.
• Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and artists in strike teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Test, debug, and optimise network code to ensure stability and performance across platforms.
• Identify technical risks and propose solutions to address complex online gameplay challenges.
• Drive excellence in development practices and help mentor engineers across the team.
• Contribute to the growth of the team through recruitment and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Hands-on work with Unreal Engine 5, dedicated servers, cloud-based services, and cross-platform integration; take ownership of networking layer to ensure seamless, secure player interactions.

Senior Network Engineer

Product Manager

• Partner with the Product Director to execute product initiatives aligned with player needs, business goals, and product KPIs.
• Own the competitive landscape, providing timely teardowns and market awareness that directly inform product and feature decisions.
• Analyse player behaviour in collaboration with data analysts to identify pain points and opportunities for iteration or improvement.
• Own user research and community feedback cycles to represent player desires and ensure those insights influence development.
• Synthesise multiple data sources (quantitative, qualitative, and market) into clear, actionable product recommendations for game teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, design, marketing, and community teams to ensure cohesive execution of product vision.
• Support backlog shaping with problem statements rooted in evidence and player goals.
• Regularly contribute to and help deliver product reports, informing directors and senior leadership of key trends and updates.
• Work closely with the Lead Analyst and cross-functional game teams on strategic execution for RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
