• Conceptualise and own the delivery of a Plugin Developer Program for RuneScape
• Act as a technical bridge of RuneScape within the development community, ensuring access to key information and ensuring our product plan serves external developer needs
• Learn our technology and coding languages to increasingly self-serve the needs of our Plugin development community over time
• Design and own events – physically and digitally – that connect our technical teams and plugin community
• Create extensive documentation and guidance to maximise the potential of external Plugin Development
• Design and maintain a developer journey into our ecosystem and supporting communities
• Regularly review and maintain our Plugin Ecosystem, ensuring our best Plugins are highlighted for discovery
• Identify gaps in community Plugin development and proactively drive executions
• Manage the Plugin Community spaces to create an optimal development environment
• Work closely with the rest of RS CM to promote and highlight Plugins that serve player needs

Technical Community Manager

Systems Engineer

• Work closely with design Leads & Principals to help establish and implement progression for new regions and refine progression in existing regions.
• Understand, maintain and further develop a global resource economy
• Create, manage and maintain an extensive library of data assets and data tables, relating to items, progression and recipes
• Create new world object blue prints for the world team that act as sources for new item i.e. plants, minerals and other interactive objects
• Integrate narrative entries for all items and materials in the game
• Manage and balance AI, object and special loot drop tables in keeping with established patterns and best practices
• Create new decorative item blue prints to engage and excite our players
• Work close with production, art, audio and engineering to make sure all survival progression dependencies are delivered, implemented and are of suitable quality
• Listen to and work with data and product in identifying and addressing issues, perceived or otherwise, finding the root cause and offering then implementing potential solutions
• Propose changes, improvements and new ideas relating to the survival progression pillar of the game

Systems Designer – RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Act as a trusted Finance partner to leaders across key business units to provide financial insight, embed cost discipline and challenge decision-making.
• Provide transparent and actionable budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Deliver accurate, insightful and timely financial reports. Drive the monthly Finance Reporting Pack (e.g. GM analysis, OPEX analysis, headcount analysis).
• Develop robust financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision making and optimise business performance.
• Work with gaming teams to understand the gaming roadmaps.
• Partner with and support key stakeholders to assess financial impacts of transformation projects to support long-term business strategy.
• Support business cases for investment decisions, including ROI analysis and scenario modelling.
• Enhance FP&A processes, leveraging automation and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Senior Finance Business Partner

Designer

• Implement and iterate on gameplay systems using RuneScript, our in-house scripting language.
• Translate design concepts into technical requirements and maintain documentation for tools, workflows, and systems.
• Prototype and test new gameplay mechanics and features, helping to define how they’ll scale and perform in a live environment.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other disciplines on small to medium-sized multi-functional teams.
• Optimise existing systems and identify performance issues or bugs during development and live support.
• Maintain a deep technical understanding of RuneScape’s core systems to ensure stability, scalability, and player enjoyment.
• Create tools and utilities to streamline workflows for fellow designers.

Technical Designer

• Prototype, refine, and implement new gameplay systems and features that support the vision of the Lead Designer.
• Translate vision documents and feature specs into detailed technical and design specs.
• Build and iterate in-engine (UE5), using Blueprint scripting to bring mechanics to life quickly and cleanly.
• Collaborate across disciplines—including animators, engineers, and designers, to deliver high-quality, playable content.
• Define gameplay variables and tuning systems to support easy balancing and iteration.
• Establish quality benchmarks for design implementation, setting the bar for reusability and polish.

• Establish and drive the technical vision for RuneScape: Dragonwilds, aligned with creative direction, world-building goals, and long-term live-service strategy.
• Define architectural principles, technology choices, and best practices supporting a large-scale online RPG built in Unreal Engine 5.
• Ensure engineering focus is aligned with the highest-impact areas for stability, scalability, and long-term growth.
• Build, lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team passionate about the RuneScape universe.

• Promote modern development practices, strong code quality, and efficient workflows aligned with studio standards.
• Partner with Jagex senior leadership to align Dragonwilds with wider studio goals, technology strategy, and franchise initiatives.
• Represent Dragonwilds engineering across leadership, product, and craft forums within Jagex.
