About the role

  • **What You'll Be Doing**
  • **Advanced Escalation Engineering**
  • - Lead investigation of critical incidents involving integrations, imaging workflows, and distributed systems
  • - Diagnose failures across HL7/FHIR/API integrations and ensure accurate data exchange between clinical systems
  • - Optimize application performance and maintain routing workflows
  • **Integration Architecture Troubleshooting**
  • - Design, implement, and maintain integrations using HL7, FHIR, APIs, and related healthcare standards
  • - Support interoperability between PACS, RIS, dictation, and EHR systems
  • - Manage imaging workflows, routing configurations, and enterprise integrations
  • **Platform & Infrastructure Diagnostics**
  • - Work across Kubernetes, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure to resolve systemic issues
  • - Analyze system performance, availability, and configuration drift to prevent recurrence
  • **Collaboration & Continuous Improvement**
  • - Partner with engineering teams on corrective actions, bug reporting, and hotfix planning alongside project and customer success managers
  • - Develop SOPs, workflows, and technical documentation for operational maturity
  • - Mentor Tier 1/2 staff and improve overall troubleshooting quality across the team

Requirements

  • **What you Bring**
  • - 5+ years in healthcare technical support, integration engineering, or imaging IT
  • - Proven experience with RIS/PACS platforms (Siemens, GE, Sectra, Fujifilm, Dedalus, or Agfa)
  • - Strong hands-on knowledge of HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and REST-based healthcare interoperability
  • - Experience with voice recognition applications such as Nuance, Fluency Direct, and 3M
  • - Proficiency across Linux/Windows environments, networking, VPN, TLS, and firewall behavior
  • - Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP, and log-driven debugging
  • - Experience with tools such as Jira Service Management, HL7 Inspector, Mirth/Cloverleaf, SQL Studio, and WinSCP
  • - Professional proficiency in English (C1+) and German (B1+) mandatory, additional languages (French, Spanish, Dutch) a strong plus
