About the role
- Take ownership of support, enhancement, and project-related work.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Develop use cases and corresponding UAT test cases.
- Partner closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and define effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other Technology & Digital Services (T&DS) teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Work with senior team members to ensure solutions align with Simplot standards and established design patterns.
- Support adherence to information security policies and standards by assisting the business in assessing risks and applying appropriate controls.
- Ability to provide after-hours support, including evenings and weekends, on an ad-hoc basis as business needs require.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 1+ years minimum related industry experience and/or training.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write, understand, debug queries and stored procedures; SSIS experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes or supply chain applications is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly learn new domains.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience working in an IT development environment, including participation in one or more full release cycles.
- Basic understanding of modern software development methodologies, information security practices, and data management concepts.
- Familiarity with software development tools and software configuration management (SCM).
- Basic understanding of software testing methodologies, test scripting, and testing tools.
- Basic knowledge of database administration concepts.
- Strong meeting planning, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Experience contributing to one or more complete project lifecycles.
- Strong attention to detail and a foundational understanding of standard business processes.
