About the role
- Ensure efficient operation of all industrial mechanical equipment for the facility.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment in their work area(s).
- Maintain all shop inventories, tools and equipment.
- Create, perform and complete work orders in the system as assigned or as needed and prepare kitting when necessary.
- Identify parts needed for work to be done, conduct inventory searches and locate parts.
- Document, monitor, maintain, and assist with reporting of shift events, logging Predictive Maintenance data and assist with work planning utilizing information systems and productivity software.
- Maintain Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs.
- Works within safety rules and regulations in actively avoiding injury to self and others.
- Ensure proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of all processing equipment and tools.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
- Two years of industrial or food processing mechanical experience required.
- Able to perform sound welds in accordance with the qualifications required by applicable welding code, standards, and/or project specifications include wire feed, stick, Heliarc, Oxy-Acetylene and sanitary (food-safe) welds for repair and fabrication required.
