About the role
- Ensure efficient operation of all industrial mechanical equipment for the facility
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment in their work area(s)
- Maintain all shop inventories, tools and equipment
- Create, perform and complete work orders in the system as assigned or as needed
- Identify parts needed for work to be done
- Document, monitor, maintain, and assist with reporting of shift events
- Maintain Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs
- May assist with training other plant personnel
- Ensure proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of all processing equipment and tools
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Associates degree or technical certification preferred
- Two years of industrial or food processing mechanical experience required
- Able to perform sound welds in accordance with the qualifications required by applicable welding code, standards, and/or project specifications include wire feed, stick, Heliarc, Oxy-Acetylene and sanitary (food-safe) welds for repair and fabrication required
- Must provide required tools (see tools list)
