  • The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
  • We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.
  • The National Accounts Manager - West (NAM) is responsible to work with a diverse portfolio of business for key National Account Operators.
  • The National Accounts Manager will drive the development of new business and manage existing contract business for an assigned account list, while ensuring the account strategy and budget is achieved.
  • Through assigned accounts, the National Accounts Manager will drive account penetration and growth of prioritized products, including new product development, new account conversions and annual financial objectives.
  • By developing and executing to an annual sales plan, the National Accounts Manager will work to sell the portfolio of Simplot products and grow the business through aligning Sales and Marketing strategy to ensure successful contract negotiations, contract compliance, and overall support of Simplot company goals.
  • Preferred candidates will reside in Ohio or Illinois. We’re also open to candidates who are willing to relocate to either state.
  • Key Responsibilities include: build, own and execute go-to-market strategy; develop pricing contracts, budgets, and strategic investments; manage relationships with operators; collaborate with internal departments; deliver presentations; utilize CRM; etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
  • 8+ years of foodservice sales management experience with National Accounts and strong relationships with existing National Accounts preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Self-motivator and ability to influence teams without authority
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to manage complex and unexpected demands from daily activities
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
