Analyze current VHIE system architecture, interfaces, and data flows.
Evaluate continuity of operations, disaster recovery, redundancy, and failover capabilities.
Identify technical, interoperability, and dependency risks.
Assess alignment with VA cybersecurity and resilience standards.
Produce HIE Continuity Assessment Report and Continuity Risk Mitigation Plan.
Evaluate optimization opportunities using emerging technologies (e.g., cloud-native architectures, implementation of emerging standards, automation, AI/ML, APIs).
Provide data-driven recommendations supporting VHIE modernization.

Requirements

3 - 5 years of experience in Business Process Modeling, Data Architecture, data modeling desired
A master’s degree or bachelor’s plus 2 years relevant experience, or Associate’s + 4 years relevant experience required in Information Systems, Computer Science, CIS or another related scientific discipline is required.
Must have high speed internet connection
Must be located in one of our hiring states of AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, MD, MI, TX, VA, or WI
Experience supporting the U.S. Dept of Veteran Affairs (VA) client and comply with the client's regulations, goals and program needs.
