About the role
- H&S Lead within region, support local H&S Representatives & forums and raise H&S profile internally
- Drive the implementation of H&S policy, framework, objectives and outcomes within the region
- Support Health & Safety Management systems to ensure safe and efficient workplace operations
- Undertake targeted H&S audits as part of a defined audit programme and incident investigations
- Support audit compliance and statutory inspections
- Provide coaching and guidance locally including promotion of safety culture on the ground
- Support H&S incident investigation processes and provide incident support and direction to Area Managers/Directors/Clinics
- Minimise accidents and incidents through evaluation of incident data and risk management
- Ensure appropriate risk assessments, procedures and training are implemented to maintain legal compliance
- Liaise with safety representatives and regional teams and co-ordinate outcomes into central H&S functions
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- Proven experience in a multi-site, customer-facing or clinical environment
- Solid understanding of UK H&S legislation and its practical application
- Skilled in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with clinical teams and operational leaders
- Full driving licence and ability to travel extensively across the region
