About the role
- Lead the preparation and development of pricing strategies, cost proposals, and pricing volumes for federal solicitations (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs).
- Analyze solicitation requirements, pricing models, and contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, IDIQ, BPA, GSA Schedules) to ensure full compliance and competitiveness.
- Collaborate closely with capture and proposal teams to align pricing strategies with technical and management solutions.
- Develop and maintain pricing models and cost estimating tools, including complex Excel-based pricing spreadsheets.
- Support the development and maintenance of indirect rate structures in coordination with accounting/finance teams.
- Provide pricing support for GSA Schedule proposals, modifications, and renewals, ensuring accurate pricing submissions and compliance with GSA terms and conditions.
- Conduct price-to-win analysis and market research to ensure competitive positioning.
- Assist with audits, pricing justification, and negotiation support as required.
- Participate in pricing reviews with senior leadership and provide pricing recommendations.
- Ensure all pricing documentation is well-organized, accurate, and audit ready.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or CPA, desired).
- Minimum 5–7+ years of hands-on federal government pricing experience, including experience with GSA schedules.
- Strong knowledge of government contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, BPA, etc.) and FAR/DFARS regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex cost proposals independently from beginning to end.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience building custom pricing models.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems (desired).
- Prior experience working in a mid-sized or growing federal contractor environment (desired).
- Knowledge of DCAA compliance requirements and pricing audits (desired).
