Contribute directly as a hands-on engineer — designing, building, and reviewing secure, cloud-native code in CAMP’s AWS-based architecture.
Partner with the Technical Lead to ensure architecture translates into timely, high-quality delivery.
Ensure best practices are followed for DevSecOps, automated testing, Section 508 accessibility, and OWASP security standards.
Drive Agile delivery practices (sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement) to ensure alignment and velocity.
Serve as a bridge across functions — coordinating with product, design, DevOps, and QA teams.
Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture, ensuring engineers have what they need to succeed.
Manage and mentor 3–5 direct reports. Provide career guidance, technical oversight, and workload balancing across team members who may support additional contracts.
Requirements
Public Trust Clearance or higher (ability to obtain and maintain required background investigation)
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading engineers.
Proven ability to deliver as an IC while managing people.
Strong knowledge of cloud-native environments (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices.
Experience with federal IT compliance (ATO, accessibility, cybersecurity) is highly desirable.
Demonstrated success building team culture and mentoring engineers.
Current authorization to work with the Department of State or other federal agency.
Prior experience in large-scale federal IT modernization programs.
