Lead technical design efforts for multimodal corridors, complete streets, bike and pedestrian facilities, and transit-oriented improvements. Alternatively, take a lead role in the design of transit centers, ferries, ports, and airport landside improvements.
Work closely with project managers to ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet agency requirements.
Mentor and develop engineering staff, providing guidance on roadway design, active transportation, and stormwater integration.
Ensure compliance with Caltrans, FHWA, CPUC, UPRR, and local agency design standards.
Perform quality control reviews to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with environmental teams, right-of-way specialists, and permitting agencies to navigate complex project requirements.
Travel to various project sites and offices as needed.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in transportation planning, utility infrastructure, drainage, and design of roadways, railways, trails, and/or similar projects.
B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California highly preferred. Out-of-state PE will be considered.
Strong experience in complete streets, multimodal design, and roadway or transit infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or similar design software).
