About the role
- Help develop and implement a Recoveries Program for the entire commercial/industrial portfolio
- Conduct CAM reconciliations for clients to ensure operating expenses are in compliance with all tenant lease terms
- Collaborate with Property Management and Accounting to identify, negotiate, and recoup potential savings for client(s)
- Work with Recovery Manager on 'Best Practice' of completion of annual true up process
- Review, compare, and analyze CAM, insurance, tax, and other operating expenses to ensure billings to tenants are in compliance with lease clauses
- Assist in the Annual Estimate, Budget, and CAPX processes to name a few
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Real Estate preferred or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years experience required
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex tenant lease language
- Requires analytical and quantitative skills
- Requires knowledge of financial terms; able to calculate formulas and conduct overall analysis between reconciliations and lease language
- Excellent Excel, written, and analytical skills, in preparing reports, reconciliations, audits, and correspondence
