About the role

  • Meet and exceed country sales target while supporting the wider commercial team in achieving their objectives
  • Develop and execute a country-wide market access plan in collaboration with the Country Manager and EU Tender Department to ensure portfolio availability
  • Drive commercial success for biosimilars in the retail pharmacy market by negotiating, partnering, and influencing key stakeholders across the distribution and retail ecosystem
  • Map, engage, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including wholesalers, pharmacy groups (VTOs), GPO buyers, payers, policy makers, trade organizations, and KOLs
  • Lead negotiations with wholesalers and pharmacy networks to secure product listings, agreements, and optimal distribution channel inclusion
  • Identify new business opportunities and prepare business cases to maximize local value
  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships that support product adoption and competitive positioning, including contributing to substitution strategies for biosimilars
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform strategy and maintain competitive advantage
  • Support advocacy and policy initiatives to promote the value, sustainability, and wider adoption of biosimilars.

Requirements

  • Scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MSc, etc.)
  • Proven background in retail market access / pharmacy market access
  • Proven track record in companies marketing biosimilars, generics, or substitutable prescription products
  • Hands-on experience negotiating with wholesalers, pharmacy groups (VTOs), and retail distribution networks
  • Demonstrable success in product launches in the retail sector, with a full understanding of the value chain
  • Strong knowledge of French regulatory framework around pricing, rebates, and commercial conditions for prescription drugs
  • Strategic vision with a medium to long-term perspective on retail market evolution
  • Political acumen and ability to navigate complex regulatory environments
  • Experience in advocacy and policy shaping to support biosimilar adoption
  • Excellent time management, organization skills, and ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Fluency in French with strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills; English language ability would be highly desirable.
