About the role
- Lead the design, deployment, and configuration of BMC Discovery across enterprise environments
- Ensure accurate discovery of servers, applications, databases, cloud services, and network devices
- Develop and maintain patterns, rules, and TPL scripts to enhance discovery capabilities
- Collaborate with ITSM, CMDB, and infrastructure teams to ensure data integrity and alignment with business processes
- Coordinate with M&A teams and project teams to deploy and integrate other software discovery agents during acquisitions, divestitures, and large-scale IT projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to discovery scans, credentials, and integrations
- Provide best practices, governance, and compliance guidance for Discovery and CMDB usage
- Conduct regular audits to validate discovered data and improve accuracy
- Document processes, configurations, and provide training to internal teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience managing network asset Discovery tools
- Preferred BMC Certified Professional in Discovery or related modules
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Prior experience in M&A IT integration projects or large-scale CMDB implementation initiatives.
