• Assess frontier capabilities and companies in AI for impact and relevance to the national security mission.
• Develop strategies for evaluating AI systems such as models and AI agents.
• Support the development of technical assessment reports and AI system requirements specifications.
• Support technical due diligence of innovative AI startups for use in the national security mission.
• Support discussions and presentations with mission partners on AI-related technical issues.
• Participate in technical oversight of projects with startups, support discussions around use cases, deployment considerations, and adoption, and craft these projects into deals.
• Lead or contribute to an assessment of frontier AI capabilities for the national security mission.
• Review technical problem statements and use cases from government partners and identify AI capabilities to meet these mission needs.
• Participate in discussions with AI-focused startup companies, supporting the technical vetting and due diligence process for potential investments.
