About the role
- Work in a data science team and alongside data engineering, data operations, product management, and domain experts
- Take ownership of key product areas
- Engage and communicate with stakeholders
- Develop and deliver a market leading synthetic population solution
- Manipulate complex data from various sources
- Develop machine learning models
- Advise product team and stakeholders on data usage and communicate methodology and results
Requirements
- Strong background in location, geospatial data
- Expertise in R
- Expertise in Python
- Expertise in SQL
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform
- Academic background in Physics and Mathematics
- Experience with cloud computing environments such as GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Experience in git for collaborative development of data science workflows/products through DevOps
- Knowledge in supervised and unsupervised learning, simulation, optimisation, graph theory, and model validation
- Strong intuition for data including statistical and machine learning principles
- Tenacity in problem solving with emphasis on perseverance and scientific method
- Competence in using multiple data sources and wrangling complex data
- Previous line reporting experience
- Desire to develop as a people leader
- Comfortable in line managing and organizing workload of the team
