About the role
- Contribute to the development of a targeted Market Access strategy for the Ipsen portfolio
- Independently prepare, conduct and document discount contract negotiations with health insurers and hospital purchasing cooperatives (group purchasing organizations) based on a team-aligned, targeted strategy
- Independently develop and align positions and presentations to be used in customer meetings
- Prepare sales analyses and bonus calculations for hospital purchasing cooperatives
- Monitor and analyze regional developments (payers, health policy, regional associations of statutory health insurance physicians [KVen], etc.) as a basis for effective engagement with relevant regional decision-makers to ensure the best possible regional market access
- Represent the medical-scientific value proposition to medical, pharmaceutical, health policy and health science experts at health insurers, associations of statutory health insurance physicians, scientific institutions, authorities and HTA bodies at the regional level, as well as other relevant decision-makers
- Manage the medical-scientific discussion within the area of responsibility, taking available evidence into account
- Prepare, conduct and follow up on complex discussions on medical, health-economic, care- and reimbursement-related issues for the specified customer group
- Plan, organize and conduct regional Market Access events for the above customer group and support the engagement of medical-scientific key opinion leaders in this context
- Support, train and advise Sales teams on health-economic and reimbursement-relevant issues, including preparing information and training materials such as newsletters
- Serve as project lead for regional care projects to open up new markets, including leading cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Degree in natural sciences, pharmacy, medicine, economics and/or relevant professional experience in the pharmaceutical sector or another healthcare sector
- Proven negotiation expertise with payers and hospital purchasing cooperatives
- Commitment to fostering a positive work culture: actively contribute to creating and maintaining a supportive environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration
- Openness to new ideas and innovations: willingness to explore new approaches and perspectives to drive continuous improvement and creative solutions
- In-depth knowledge of health policy and legal frameworks for drug pricing and reimbursement, particularly in outpatient and inpatient hospital care
- An existing network with regional health insurers and other regional decision-makers is advantageous
- Understanding of drug assessment, in particular excellent knowledge of the early benefit assessment process according to §35a SGB V and subsequent price negotiations; basic knowledge of methods of evidence-based medicine (EBM); expertise according to §75 AMG required
- Interest in scientific issues and willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with complex topics
- Strong persuasive communication skills, rhetorical proficiency and diplomatic finesse, preferably with experience communicating with the specified customer groups
- Above-average drive for success, planning and organizational skills, and high willingness to travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident presence and presentation skills, analytical thinking, and a structured, independent and results-oriented working style
- Good written and spoken English
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel for strategy presentations and sales analyses/bonus calculations
