About the role
- Manage project activities to ensure timely and successful delivery, meeting key performance indicators and financial objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with COVE project team members and external partners to foster collaboration, define project scopes, and gather requirements.
- Identify dependencies, minimize risks, and propose mitigation strategies to support project success.
- Monitor project performance and prepare regular progress reports for COVE’s internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of project plans; manage timelines, and budgets, ensuring proper implementation throughout the lifecycle.
- Contribute to COVE project proposals and support funding acquisition efforts.
- Ensure adherence to COVE’s project management best practices, industry standards, and all relevant regulations.
- Support COVE leadership in presenting project updates and outcomes to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure compliance with COVE’s policies and procedures, including human resources, safety, and operational standards.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required to support the success and growth of COVE’s programs and strategic initiatives.
- Occasional travel as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline; an equivalent combination or education and experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years managing and executing projects with demonstrated experience in project management and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in stakeholder management and relationship building.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, including advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance.
