Product Adoption Specialist

• Reporting to the Director of Venture Growth, the Manager, Defence Technology Adoption & Supply Chain Development leads the design and delivery of COVE's mission-driven innovation challenges that accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies to address Canada's most pressing defence and security capability needs.
• Working in partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), the Department of National Defence (DND), prime contractors, industry, and other key stakeholders.
• Leads high-impact innovation challenges that solve priority defence capability needs by accelerating the validation and operational adoption of emerging technologies.
• Create new opportunities for Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to enter and grow within defence supply chains, strengthening Canada's defence industrial base and operational readiness.
• Serve as a critical connector across Canada's defence innovation ecosystem, convening military end users, DND organizations, procurement authorities, prime contractors, SMEs, innovators, and funding partners to identify operational capability gaps, connect innovative companies to defence opportunities, and accelerate the transition of emerging technologies from operational requirement through validation, procurement, fielded capability, and supply chain integration.
• Combine strategic leadership with strong execution, business development, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen COVE's impact as a national leader in defence technology commercialization, supply chain innovation, and capability development.
• Monitor participant progress against technology validation, commercialization, procurement, and adoption milestones, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
• Represent COVE at industry conferences, military engagements, trade shows, and ecosystem-building initiatives to expand partnerships and identify strategic opportunities.

Manager, Defence Technology Adoption, Supply Chain Development

Program Manager

• Reporting to the Director, Market Acceleration, the Program Manager | DIANA is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, performance, and continuous evolution of COVE's NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA).
• Ensure COVE delivers world-class accelerator programming that strengthens the global innovation ecosystem, accelerates the commercialization of dual-use technologies, supports the growth of high-potential companies, and achieves the objectives of strategic stakeholders.
• Lead the planning, delivery, continuous improvement, and evaluation of COVE’s NATO DIANA accelerator program.
• Serve as the trusted point of contact for participating companies and represent COVE across the NATO DIANA ecosystem and broader NATO Alliance.
• Develop, adapt, and execute accelerator programming to ensure high-impact outcomes and best-in-class participant experiences.
• Develop annual program plans, implementation schedules, resource requirements, and delivery frameworks.
• Build and strengthen strategic relationships with NATO DIANA, test centres, defence stakeholders, investors, mentors, and innovation partners.
• Lead end-to-end program delivery, including the recruitment and coordination of experts, evaluators, mentors, and speakers.
• Collect, analyze, and report on program performance metrics and deliverables to drive continuous improvement.
• Champion participant success by understanding founder needs and supporting their entrepreneurial journey.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships across industry, government, academia, investors, NATO, and innovation ecosystem partners.
• Develop and manage program budgets, expenditures, and forecasts.

Communications

• Reporting to the VP | Strategic Engagement & Impact, this role is accountable for COVE’s brand, reputation, and market presence through strategic communications, marketing, media relations, digital engagement, and stakeholder outreach.
• The position is responsible for delivering measurable increases in brand awareness, audience engagement, media exposure, and stakeholder participation while ensuring all communications activities support COVE’s strategic priorities and organizational objectives.
• The Manager, Communications & Branding provides leadership in the planning, coordination, and delivery of integrated communications and marketing initiatives across the organization.
• The role establishes communications priorities, oversees content development and distribution, manages relationships with media and external partners, and ensures a consistent and compelling organizational narrative across all channels.
• Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders, the Manager supports the promotion of COVE’s programs, partnerships, events, and strategic initiatives to enhance the organization’s profile and impact regionally, nationally, and internationally.
• Develop and execute integrated marketing, communications, and brand strategies that support COVE’s priorities, programs, and stakeholder engagement goals, measuring effectiveness through key performance indicators.
• Lead the development, review, and distribution of brand-aligned content across communications channels, including digital platforms, publications, newsletters, media materials, website content, press releases, and events.
• Oversee COVE’s digital presence, including its website and social media platforms, ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities and brand standards.
• Direct the development of creative and multimedia assets, managing internal and external resources, including designers, photographers, videographers, and communications service providers.
• Build and maintain relationships with media, industry partners, influencers, and stakeholders to enhance visibility and identify profile-building, thought leadership, and partnership opportunities.
• Lead the development and execution of COVE’s thought leadership strategy, positioning the organization and its partners as leaders in innovation, commercialization, and technology.
• Lead media relations activities, including outreach, story development, interview coordination, and promotion of COVE’s programs, initiatives, achievements, and events.
• Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to identify cross-promotional opportunities, ensure consistent messaging, and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor industry, marketing, and communications trends, recommending innovative approaches to strengthen COVE’s brand and market presence.
• Represent COVE at meetings, events, and external engagements as an ambassador for the organization and its mission.

Manager, Communications & Branding

Human Resources

• Act as the primary point of HR contact to all managers and employees in the areas of employee relations, change management, performance management, employee engagement, and best practices.
• Develop, implement and monitor HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Partner with management on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategies.
• Support hiring managers in executing the full-cycle talent acquisition process including recruitment, interviewing, developing employment contracts for hiring of qualified job applicants and their subsequent on-boarding.
• Support employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, performance management, and terminations.
• Bridge management and employee relations by developing and maintaining human resource policies and procedures, health & safety, addressing requests, grievances or other issues.
• Manage off-boarding – voluntary and involuntary terminations of employment.
• Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Payroll, Finance and IT, Legal and other stakeholders to drive the effective delivery of HR programs and services.
• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
• Oversee and manage a performance management system that drives high performance.
• Administer benefits, reconcile payroll reports, and advise and recommend on compensation, benefits and rewards programs.
• Assess training and professional development needs to apply and monitor training programs.
• Analyze HR trends and metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics including employee performance, compensation standards relative to market benchmarks, and other metrics.
• Implement attendance management, performance management and disability management plans as required.
• Manage employee records and ensuring legal compliance with all regulations including health and safety and worker’s compensation.
• Ensure compliance with COVE’s policies and procedures, including human resources, safety, and operational standards.
• Take on additional responsibilities as required to support the success and growth of COVE’s programs and strategic initiatives.
