About the role
- Develop and own executive-level relationships at target accounts
- Develop a pipeline of sales opportunities across IonQ’s full stack
- Qualify and prioritize pipeline opportunities based on client impact potential, financial profitability, timing, and long-term strategic alignment
- Own all phases of the sales lifecycle—from relationship development to deal closure
- Ensure support of the broader IonQ organization to successfully pursue high-value opportunities
- Partner with Customer Success post-sale to ensure high satisfaction, driving renewals and identifying opportunities for incremental revenue
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience selling to the Financial Services Industry with quota-carrying responsibilities
- Experience selling high-performance computing (HPC), AI/ML infrastructure (hardware or software)
- Existing relationships within Fortune 100 Financial Institutions (including Global Money Center Banks, Hedge funds/Institutional Asset Managers, and global Insurance providers)
- Ability to navigate the unique procurement, compliance, and regulatory hurdles of the FSI industry
- An undergraduate degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant technical field (STEM)
