About the role
- Own and drive the growth and success of IONITY’s pan-European charging network through collaboration with a diverse range of third-parties
- Conduct thorough and ongoing analysis of relevant markets to identify companies with which we should seek to collaborate to optimize network growth, utilization, and long-term profitability
- Use all available levers to engage with partnership targets, developing a dialogue and convincing them of benefits of working with IONITY
- Implement these partnerships by working closely with IONITY cross-functional teams to define the concept, convince key stakeholders of the benefits and ultimately establish the collaboration legally and practically
- Ensure the effective functioning of the partnership to maximize value through ongoing relationship management
- Act as an expert support to local teams on negotiation strategy and commercial positioning in partner discussions
- Implement and manage relationships with property brokers who can provide high-quality site opportunities in local or regional markets
- Assist with tender preparation as required and in coordination with relevant stakeholders internally and externally
- Represent IONITY at trade fairs, industry events, and relevant networking platforms
- Support corporate development and M&A initiatives by identifying potential acquisition targets, evaluating opportunities (strategic and financial), and assisting with post-acquisition integration
- Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to provide transparency on partnership pipeline, deal performance, and strategic impact
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in commercial partnership development, key account management or business / corporate development (e-mobility, energy, infrastructure or other related sectors)
- Proven ability to originate, negotiate, and implement complex commercial agreements across multiple geographies
- Excellent networking and negotiation abilities to unlock opportunities and maximize the commercial benefits for IONITY
- Exposure to M&A processes and investment evaluation methods
- Experience with tender or concession processes in the energy, mobility, or public infrastructure sector
- Track record of cross-functional collaboration and alignment with technical and commercial teams, whilst achieving buy-in from senior management
- Demonstratable entrepreneurial spirit with a curiosity to develop innovative partnerships which are fully considered and backed by a solid logic
- Strong capabilities in data analysis, project management and communication to all levels of management
- Understanding of infrastructure investment and financial evaluation (business case modelling, NPV, IRR), as well as network coverage planning
- Fluent ability in written and spoken English, other European languages a plus.
