About the role
- Fund wholesale origination loans in accordance with internal controls and funding timelines.
- Support the correspondent funding process, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Track and monitor origination escrows, ensuring proper calculation, disbursement, and reconciliation.
- Process and confirm wires as requested, including validation of wire instructions and compliance with internal procedures.
- Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations and other supporting account reconciliations.
- Monitor cash activity and ensure proper posting and movement of funds.
- Provide backup support for core Finance and Accounting functions as needed.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting, research, and special projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the success of the department with willingness to cross train and share in all department
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in mortgage funding, cash operations, treasury, or financial operations.
- Strong understanding of wholesale and/or correspondent mortgage funding processes.
- Experience processing wires and handling time-sensitive cash transactions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
