About the role

  • Oversee implementation of the safety program by various general contractors
  • Review client submittals and reports and verify safety plan compliance
  • Engage with contractor personnel for policy development and compliance
  • Provide oversight of safety consulting personnel
  • Draft necessary reports to Invenergy and regulatory agencies
  • Coordinate content of EHS audits and walkdowns
  • Report incidents impacting project operations or personnel
  • Assist in incident investigations performed by contractors
  • Develop and implement written EHS programs

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Occupational Health /Safety OR relevant experience
  • 6 years or more of construction safety-related experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety supervisory role
  • OSHA 30 – Construction Safety course completion
  • Hold or strive to attain a Certified Safety Professional certification within 24 months
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet)
  • Must be able to move and manipulate up to 50 pounds
