About the role
- Oversee implementation of the safety program by various general contractors
- Review client submittals and reports and verify safety plan compliance
- Engage with contractor personnel for policy development and compliance
- Provide oversight of safety consulting personnel
- Draft necessary reports to Invenergy and regulatory agencies
- Coordinate content of EHS audits and walkdowns
- Report incidents impacting project operations or personnel
- Assist in incident investigations performed by contractors
- Develop and implement written EHS programs
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Occupational Health /Safety OR relevant experience
- 6 years or more of construction safety-related experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety supervisory role
- OSHA 30 – Construction Safety course completion
- Hold or strive to attain a Certified Safety Professional certification within 24 months
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet)
- Must be able to move and manipulate up to 50 pounds
