General Counsel

• Provide legal support to Invenergy’s project development, commercial execution and finance and capital markets teams on a wide variety of commercial transactions, including power purchase and similar offtake agreements, build-transfer agreements, commodity and currency hedge and trading agreements, interconnection agreements, EPC agreements, equipment supply agreements, operations and maintenance agreements as well as debt financing, cash and tax equity financing, and joint venture agreements
• Provide guidance on transaction structuring
• Support the drafting and negotiation of project and financing documentation
• Select and efficiently manage sophisticated outside counsel
• Ensure consistency across transactions and compliance with internal policies
• The position will also provide legal advice and support in other areas of the company as needed and able.

Assistant General Counsel – Commercial

Electrical Engineer

• Lead safe, compliant commissioning and startup of SCADA and communications systems for wind, solar, and battery projects.
• Bring systems online, validate performance through acceptance testing, and deliver a clean turnover to Operations.
• Build and secure the communications network that runs the plant: IP plans, protocols, physical network interfaces, and firewall rules across SCADA/OT/IT equipment.
• Partner with major stakeholders (plant controller OEMs, transmission operators, generator owners/operators) to configure controls and data paths to meet operational and grid requirements.
• Own the energization and commissioning execution plan, define scope, sequence, readiness gates, and risk mitigations while maintaining NERC and project requirements.
• Monitor construction progress remotely and via on site visits, support resolution of field issues, attend in person meetings with stakeholders, and provide on-site programming and field support during commissioning when required.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure SCADA deliverables align with overall project requirements and critical path schedules.
• Track design schedules, communicate status and risks, and ensure critical dates are met on time.
• Maintain system specifications and configurations for SCADA, power plant controllers, RTUs, and IT/OT equipment to improve reliable operation and maintenance.
• Oversee delivery of clean, complete as-built turnover packages (schematics, bills of materials, configuration/programming settings) to Operations for long-term maintenance and reliability.
• Support technical due diligence with independent engineers and project partners by providing accurate, technical input and evidence.
• Stay current on technology and best practices through training, conferences, and continuous learning.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership to support team priorities and business needs.

Project Engineer, Renewable Electrical Engineering – SCADA

Associate

• Support Invenergy’s vegetation management program for utility-scale solar, wind, and transmission projects in the Western and Midwestern regions of the United States
• Oversee the development of site-specific vegetation and soil managements plans
• Schedule and manage pre-construction seeding efforts
• Oversee third-party vegetation monitoring inspections during construction
• Confirm contractors are meeting vegetation requirements and implementing adaptive management as needed
• Coordinate across and support multiple internal teams including Development, Engineering, Environmental Compliance & Strategy, Project Management, and Asset Management
• Coordinate with external vegetation consultants, civil and reclamation contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful implementation of vegetation actions and compliance with the project’s strategy during construction and throughout operations.

Associate, Vegetation Management

• Direct vegetation consultants on developing project-specific vegetation and soil management plans.
• Review of the developed plans to ensure that all conditions of state and local regulations, guidance documents, project permits, customer contracts, schedules, and budgetary expectations are met.
• Assist internal teams on estimating project-specific vegetation establishment and maintenance related costs into economic models.
• Support permitting efforts by developing any required vegetation related language or resources for permit applications.
• Support project development by presenting vegetation management plans and practices to local landowners and community members.
• Oversee the construction contractor’s vegetation efforts while providing staff training on vegetation management strategies.
• Conduct site visits to projects in the development, construction, and operational stages with others from the project team to evaluate performance of vegetation processes during critical vegetation establishment milestones.
• Provide technical assistance during the operational stage by providing oversight of vegetation management consultants and contractors to achieve project-specific objectives, commitments, and budgets.
• Supports Vegetation Management leadership, review of project documents and plans, development of vegetation improvements and processes, and forward-thinking strategies that are relevant to Invenergy’s vegetation program.
• Provide feedback and engagement with industry groups relating to vegetation management, and ecosystem services on utility-scale solar projects.

Technician

• Support the Wind operating fleet in all aspects of operations
• Primary focus on in-field troubleshooting and return to service efforts
• Partner with site teams to return turbines to service while training newer technicians
• Travel within the US fleet to support Invenergy owned and third party contracted sites
• Diagnose faults and repair equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Support pilot projects to evaluate new equipment, tools, and/or processes
• Assist with managing deliverables and contractual obligations
• Prepare and implement operating procedures which comply with company, customer, and industry standards
• Support High Voltage switching, as needed
• Identify, document, and communicate opportunities for operational and quality improvements
• Provide a high level of professionalism and technical expertise, while working with minimal oversight
• Lead, assist and work alongside technicians in all aspects of their required job duties
• Perform on-the-job (OJT) training functions with site technicians
• Evaluate and supervise contractor scope and repair work
• Perform QA/QC inspections at all locations across the fleet

Field Troubleshooting Technician – Wind

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on GE wind turbine and associated equipment
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime

Wind Technician

Compliance

• Lead and perform grid studies related to power electronic and power systems control of renewable generation, battery energy storage systems, and High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) modeling and analyzing control performance utilizing industry standard analysis platforms such as PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, and ASPEN Oneliner.
• Develop power system models for different renewable generation projects in PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, ASPEN Oneliner, and other modeling tools.
• Lead and perform power plant controllers tuning in collaboration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to achieve desired performance requirement established in grid codes.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of NERC standards related to grid modeling, IEEE 2800 – 2022, IEEE P2800.2, WECC and various independent system operators
• Support the interconnection and grid analysis, renewable project engineering, generation and transmission operation groups with power systems engineering expertise, including equipment design, specification studies, performance studies, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and forensic analyses.
• Effectively communicate to both internal and external stakeholders by preparing detailed written reports or presentations describing analyses performed, solutions developed, and customer value propositions.
• Attend on-site meetings and in person coordination meetings with Independent System Operator (ISO), interconnection utilities, Renewable Energy Generation and HVDC vendors and consulting engineers.

Field Service Technician – 100% Travel, Rotational Position

• Collaboratively represent Invenergy and the Field Service Group to internal and external parties.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in multiple equipment platforms
• Train site personnel in Operations activities including: Safety, Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance, and Ops Support System.
• Lead teams to perform major component replacements and repairs on multiple equipment platforms and component manufacturers.
• Troubleshoot complicated electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of multiple equipment platforms
• Perform equipment and site inspections and compile associated reports.
• Complete daily and monthly reporting requirements.

• Assure all activities are performed in a safe manner consistent with Invenergy policies and procedures.
• Rotational position travel in 4 week intervals away from home while returning for a week off.
