About the role
- Oversee the end-to-end operational delivery of Intrepid trips across the global country office network.
- Build leader capability and support country offices to maintain strong operational performance.
- Embed global standards and systems, driving continuous improvement.
- Lead safety, risk, and incident management, ensuring protection for travelers, leaders, and partners.
- Help shape global and regional operational strategy, policy, and best practices.
- Mentor and empower operations managers to ensure guidance and support are provided effectively.
- Take a lead role in incident management, overseeing serious and major incidents.
Requirements
- Demonstrated operational and/or relevant business experience within a DMC environment or comparable setting.
- Proven experience in incident management and operational risk response.
- Experience operating at a senior management level, with responsibility for leadership and decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Experience in operational implementation and end-to-end product delivery.
- Highly developed project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability in addressing operational challenges and driving practical solutions.
- Solid understanding of Intrepid’s operating model and DMC network.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, engage, and develop others within diverse, cross-cultural environments.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours when required and undertake regular business travel.
- Bonus, if you have the following experience: Proficient in Spanish.
- Strong cross-cultural awareness and understanding of international business practices and etiquette.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, project management, or a related discipline.
