About the role

  • Provide guidance, training, and direction to your team of consultants as they sell and ensure accurate bookings for group and tailored FIT trips.
  • Oversee the creation of itineraries and ensure customer service is delivered according to Intrepid standards, company philosophies, and operational systems.
  • Manage your own clients and take a hands-on role in overseeing complex or higher-value accounts.
  • Lead the team to grow sales and consistently deliver service-level excellence for Intrepid DMC.
  • Ensure your team meets sales targets - particularly filling out the Galapagos boats- while maintaining exceptional performance in consultation and booking of tailored FIT trips.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external customers and manage all touchpoints of the customer experience up to trip departure.
  • Follow through with customers to secure bookings and ensure the booking-to-departure process meets high standards of customer service.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the tourism or hospitality industry.
  • Previous supervisory experience, including leading a team to sales success through coaching, training & developing
  • Strong knowledge of the Galapagos boats and land itineraries in Galapagos and Ecuador
  • Proven track record in managing and reporting on sales targets for a team of direct reports
  • Significant travel industry and sales experience, ideally within adventure travel
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships
  • In addition to Spanish, fluent English language skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to accurately use systems online such as CRMs and create or train others in processes to provide a quality customer experience
