About the role

  • Overall responsibility for the safe, successful, and profitable delivery of all trips across Canada for Intrepid Travel and external brand partners in line with company standards and policies.
  • Act as the main point of contact for operational matters between the office team, tour leaders, the Intrepid DMC Global Operations team, and Product teams at Intrepid and partner brands.
  • Oversee the operational performance of the Canadian business, including the management of tour leaders and vehicle fleets, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and consistency on every trip.
  • Play a key role as a member of the regional management team shaping the overall direction of Intrepid DMC Canada, helping drive growth, innovation, and traveler experience.
  • Support the delivery of the company's 2030 Strategy and mission to change the way people see the world.

Requirements

  • A thorough understanding of and a strong passion for Intrepid’s style of sustainable, experience rich travel.
  • Background in operations management and/or tour leading/guiding including active travel, vehicle and/ or van-based touring and cycling.
  • In-depth knowledge of product, itineraries, destinations, and the adventure travel industry in Canada.
  • Experience managing people and teams, including remote staff and leaders.
  • Experience designing and delivering tour leader training.
  • Ability to manage crises calmly and effectively and take responsibility for the safety of others.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to delegate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
