Overall responsibility for the safe, successful, and profitable delivery of all trips across Canada for Intrepid Travel and external brand partners in line with company standards and policies.
Act as the main point of contact for operational matters between the office team, tour leaders, the Intrepid DMC Global Operations team, and Product teams at Intrepid and partner brands.
Oversee the operational performance of the Canadian business, including the management of tour leaders and vehicle fleets, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and consistency on every trip.
Play a key role as a member of the regional management team shaping the overall direction of Intrepid DMC Canada, helping drive growth, innovation, and traveler experience.
Support the delivery of the company's 2030 Strategy and mission to change the way people see the world.
Requirements
A thorough understanding of and a strong passion for Intrepid’s style of sustainable, experience rich travel.
Background in operations management and/or tour leading/guiding including active travel, vehicle and/ or van-based touring and cycling.
In-depth knowledge of product, itineraries, destinations, and the adventure travel industry in Canada.
Experience managing people and teams, including remote staff and leaders.
Experience designing and delivering tour leader training.
Ability to manage crises calmly and effectively and take responsibility for the safety of others.
Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to delegate.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
