About the role
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on containerized services.
- Managing Kubernetes (both AWS-managed and self-hosted) and ensuring high availability of cloud workloads.
- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Ensuring secure and efficient cloud networking and API gateway solutions (Kong or similar).
- Working with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS-SQL, Mongo) to support cloud applications.
- Engaging in hands-on coding when necessary to support development teams.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to refine tasks, plan sprints, and report on progress.
- Leading design sessions to propose and evaluate cloud architecture solutions.
- Identifying and resolving technical challenges while escalating blockers when needed.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in AWS, with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure challenges.
- Solid experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration on AWS.
- Proficiency in Terraform and best practices for Infrastructure as Code.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and authentication (OIDC, Keycloak).
- Experience working with REST API gateways and microservices architecture.
- Background in software development (C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript).
- Hands-on experience with event-driven microservices and technologies like Apache Kafka.
