About the role
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on containerized services
- Managing Kubernetes (both AWS-managed and self-hosted) and ensuring high availability of cloud workloads
- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Ensuring secure and efficient cloud networking and API gateway solutions (Kong or similar)
- Working with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS-SQL, Mongo) to support cloud applications
- Engaging in hands-on coding when necessary to support development teams
- Collaborating with stakeholders to refine tasks, plan sprints, and report on progress
- Leading design sessions to propose and evaluate cloud architecture solutions
- Identifying and resolving technical challenges while escalating blockers when needed
Requirements
- Strong expertise in AWS
- Solid experience with Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Terraform
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and authentication (OIDC, Keycloak)
- Experience working with REST API gateways and microservices architecture
- Background in software development (C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript)
- Hands-on experience with event-driven microservices and technologies like Apache Kafka
