About the role

  • Monitoring and implementation of legal requirements in material compliance (e.g., REACH, RoHS, POPs, Prop 65) for our global product portfolio
  • Identifying, assessing and prioritizing human rights and environmental risks in the supply chain (including child labor, forced labor, worker protection and environmental impacts)
  • Management and reporting on conflict minerals (3TG) in accordance with the EU Conflict Minerals Regulation and the Dodd-Frank Act
  • Implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR): ensuring required due diligence and documentation for relevant raw materials and products
  • Advising and training internal departments (Purchasing, R&D, Quality Management) on material requirements and due diligence obligations
  • Active contribution to our sustainability reporting (e.g., under CSRD/ESRS) in relevant compliance areas
  • Continuous market monitoring for new or changed regulatory requirements in sustainability compliance
  • Communication with suppliers to ensure compliance with our requirements and support their implementation

Requirements

  • Master's degree in materials science, environmental science, chemistry or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable role
  • Expertise in global material and chemical regulations: REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals Regulation, PFAS, California Prop 65, etc.
  • Experience with common material data management systems (e.g., IMDS, SAP EHS) is advantageous
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Enjoy working in a structured and independent manner
  • High commitment, flexibility, creativity and assertiveness
  • Strong analytical and entrepreneurial mindset
