About the role
- Monitoring and implementation of legal requirements in material compliance (e.g., REACH, RoHS, POPs, Prop 65) for our global product portfolio
- Identifying, assessing and prioritizing human rights and environmental risks in the supply chain (including child labor, forced labor, worker protection and environmental impacts)
- Management and reporting on conflict minerals (3TG) in accordance with the EU Conflict Minerals Regulation and the Dodd-Frank Act
- Implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR): ensuring required due diligence and documentation for relevant raw materials and products
- Advising and training internal departments (Purchasing, R&D, Quality Management) on material requirements and due diligence obligations
- Active contribution to our sustainability reporting (e.g., under CSRD/ESRS) in relevant compliance areas
- Continuous market monitoring for new or changed regulatory requirements in sustainability compliance
- Communication with suppliers to ensure compliance with our requirements and support their implementation
Requirements
- Master's degree in materials science, environmental science, chemistry or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable role
- Expertise in global material and chemical regulations: REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals Regulation, PFAS, California Prop 65, etc.
- Experience with common material data management systems (e.g., IMDS, SAP EHS) is advantageous
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Enjoy working in a structured and independent manner
