About the role

  • Define and execute a strategic data architecture roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native data platforms, including data lakes, lakehouses, and analytics warehouses.
  • Modernize legacy systems to ensure scalability, interoperability, and performance.
  • Champion best practices in data modelling and semantic layer design.
  • Simplify access to data and set up a data products architecture to fulfil BI & Analytics teams' needs.
  • Promote the DIKW framework to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Support the rollout of data governance and quality tooling.
  • Enable AI/ML readiness through scalable infrastructure and clean data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data science teams to support model deployment and MLOps.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems for data reliability and performance.
  • Deliver a clear “TO BE” architecture recommendation and roadmap with actionable milestones.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years in data architecture, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Extensive experience with AWS, Databricks, Power Platform, and Redshift; Snowflake is a plus.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, PowerQuery (M), and ideally Scala or PySpark.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Certified in AWS (Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect) and CDMP; Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
