About the role
- Negotiate supplier terms such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
- Partner with Legal to ensure terms are consistent with contractual requirements and incorporate those terms into contracts, such as MSAs and SOWs, negotiated with suppliers
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand and document details of business and procurement requirements, and use those to identify and select suppliers for everything from security software to engineering services
- Interact with supplier senior level management to secure best possible terms
- Liaise with suppliers and internal business partners regarding updates of goods and services and the contracts that govern them
- Lead RFI and RFP initiatives
- Aid and document cost savings efforts and proactively identify new opportunities
- Support dashboards of supplier metrics, spend, contracts, etc. and organizational initiatives in general
- Support the vendor qualification and onboarding processes
- Aid and document cost savings efforts and proactively identify new opportunities
- Create purchase requisitions and orders, and reconcile these with supply requests, including administering Coupa and assisting Intermedia employees with Coupa processing
- Reconcile invoices to contractual terms to resolve inconsistencies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 -5+ years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
- Direct experience negotiating and executing contracts in partnership with legal department
- Software-as-as-Service (SaaS), Telecom and/or Unified Communications-as-a-Service (UCaaS) industry experience a plus
- Self-starting, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial attitude with a program management perspective
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse groups
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and contractual skills
- Solid interpersonal and rapport building abilities
- Strong time management and planning skills required to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changes in business requirements
- Technically savvy, including a demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft suite of productivity applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio with familiarity with enterprise financial systems
- Familiarity with Coupa, NetSuite, and/or Concur a plus
