About the role
- Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and cost allocations
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Reconcile sub-ledgers and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Process and reconcile supplier cash disbursements
- Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions and settlements
- Prepare foreign subsidiary adjustments to convert local statutory financials to U.S. GAAP
- Serve as a key point of contact for external and internal audits; support audit requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Identify and resolve system or process issues; generate reports and support documentation as needed
- Prepare and file sales and use tax and/or property tax returns
- Administer the company travel and expense program in accordance with company policy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with payroll and other departments to gather information and resolve discrepancies
- Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes and efficiency
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Experience in manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions
