Lead business development efforts in coastal resilience
Support multiple clients and projects focused on sea level rise and coastal hazard modeling
Conduct vulnerability assessments and adaptation planning with a focus on nature-based solutions
Collaborate with other scientists and engineers across practices
Execute technical work and client deliverables
Mentor staff across business practices

Requirements

Advanced degree in oceanography, ocean or coastal engineering, or other marine science field
U.S. West Coast experience and networks required
Professional licensure in related disciplines preferred
15+ years of professional experience in coastal sciences and engineering, coastal hydrodynamics, geomorphology, marine geology and geophysics
Proven experience in business development including proposal writing, technical scopes, and budgeting
Expertise in coastal hazards and coastal flood risk management
Experience with nature-based solutions for coastal ecosystem restoration
Familiarity with coastal modeling and mapping
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB
Familiarity with CAD and/or GIS
Strong project management experience
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
