About the role
- Monitor the profitability and competitiveness of insurance portfolios and prepare action plans for the coming years
- Apply actuarial techniques to ensure adequate reserves, appropriate reinsurance coverage, and sufficient capital for various catastrophe scenarios
- Contribute to innovation initiatives in machine learning, customer experience, telematics, and climate change
- Support underwriting, marketing, risk management, and finance departments
- Learn about and become familiar with the insurance industry
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university program in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, business intelligence, or a related field
- Interest in computing, technology, and innovation (an asset)
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Strong adaptability
- Teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and strong sense of responsibility
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and synthesis skills
