About the role
- Provides legal representation for Intact’s subrogation interests before courts, arbitration panels, or other bodies
- Advises claim employees in their handling of pre-suit and litigated claim matters
- Responsible for completion of caseload, pre-suit investigation and trial work of some complexity, whether by settlement, trial or appeal
- Works to develop the skills necessary to litigate subrogation files independently
- Interfaces and provides counsel to Intact’s Subrogation Claims department as files develop through pre-suit, litigation, trial or resolution
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience litigating property subrogation claims
- Substantial experience with research, discovery depositions, mediations and trial preparation required
- JD required
