About the role
- Maximizes opportunities for underwriting profitable new and renewal business
- Develops and maintains an active target account list tracking prospects
- Manages financial performance of all assigned products in assigned territory
- Underwrites a book of business and manages underwriting quality
- Executes underwriting strategy, ensures compliance with standards
- Develops superior working relationships with producers to achieve mutual growth goals
- Gathers and analyzes competitor information and producer specific reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years of progressively more complex specialty lines underwriting experience
- Professional insurance designation is preferred (AICPCU, RPLU)
