About the role

  • Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
  • Process Publisher/Customer payments per company guidelines.
  • Create monthly invoicing for Publishers and apply payments on a monthly basis.
  • Respond to payment inquiries raised by Publishers or the COOL company staff.
  • Calculate commissions and bonuses for Sales and Account Managers on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist with the processing of employee salaries and contractor payments.
  • Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
  • Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts (vendors, expense reports, etc.).
  • Assist the CFO and Director of Finance on ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
  • At least 4-5 years of related experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient with QuickBooks Online and Xero.
  • Proficient in Google Office Suite or Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with, but not required, Bill.Com, Tally, and Tradeshift.
