Security Engineer

• Work within the CISO team as a Security Architect and act as a subject matter expert.

Security Architect

• Maintain and update alerts/rules within Insight Investment’s monitoring solution and SIEM.
• Investigate, record and respond to SIEM alerts, determine scope and severity of incidents, and coordinate containment and remediation efforts.
• Define, implement and continuously improve operational security processes and runbooks to align with compliance standards and evolving threats.
• Assist with integrating and configuring security tooling, ensuring effective data ingestion, enrichment and alerting across the environment.
• Participate in threat hunting activities to proactively identify suspicious behaviour and improve detection coverage.
• Deliver vulnerability management: analyse scanning outputs, coordinate with technology teams and ensure timely notification and remediation tracking.
• Generate new security controls as required and enforce security processes and requirements across the business.
• Participate in the out-of-hours, on-call rotation, supporting incident response efforts during non-core hours.

Cyber Defence Analyst

Software Engineer

• Insight Investment is looking for a Developer to join the Fusion Integrated Solutions team in London. As a Developer, you will work on a greenfield project, building new strategies which utilise CDI (Cashflow Driven Investment) and LDI (Liability Driven Investing), to manage corporate pension risks for our clients.
• The software is built using the latest React technology stack and micro-frontends backing onto .NET Core 8 services hosted in Azure using Kubernetes and SQL Server databases hosted in Azure SQL. We are constantly driving forward, with an aim to maintain the latest technology stack and addressing tech debt to keep our platform up to date.
• You will work in one of the most high-profile development teams within Insight, using Agile methodologies and Kanban and the latest .NET technology. You will work closely with the business and be involved in all aspects of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) and working with other product teams within Insight.
• Role Responsibilities
• As a Developer, beyond your day-to-day development work you will:
• Work across the full stack, with a focus on frontend development to deliver high-quality testable code to deliver new product features.
• Provide technical advice to other developers and take an active role in designing new technical standards.
• Take ownership for driving change and innovation, bring relevant teams together and lead retrospectives.
• Assess and recommend architectural patterns based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Present information concisely to individuals within and outside of the Technology function.
• Mentor the wider team to support the Team lead and help optimise team performance.
• Participate in and, where appropriate, lead meetings with business stakeholders. You will work closely with the business and be involved in all aspects of the software lifecycle. The focus will be developing cloud-native applications to digitise Insight’s investment process for the front office.
• Experience Required
• C# / .NET Framework / .NET Core experience
• Experience working with SQL Server, writing TSQL
• Experience working in Agile teams performing iterative development
• Fundamentals and approaches: OOP, SOLID principles, TDD/BDD/ATDD
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity / Artifactory)

Developer

Architect

• Insight Investment is looking for an Architect to join the Architecture team in Manchester. The role is hands-on across a variety of our key initiatives: AKS, GitHub Enterprise, data platforms, and distributed architectures.
• The purpose of the role is to bolster the Development and Technology Change departments, identifying opportunities to add value and make our technical delivery more sustainable in service to our core business. This can range from traditional architectural support with the teams, onboarding new functionality across our various platforms, evangelising new approaches, or doing detailed analysis or development work to solve challenging problems.
• Although the work varies and we cannot promise working on something specific, we always focus on delivering or enabling high-impact, high-value work for Insight.
• Role Responsibilities
• Take ownership for driving change and innovation, either working behind the scenes or directly with the teams
• Guide the creation of and be involved in our architectural governance and review function, to help the teams make the right decisions and support change in the future
• Be a spokesperson for our technology brand and engineering practices, both internally to evangelise and energise our teams and externally to attract talent

• Experience Required
