About the role

  • Interact with clients, brokerage side of the business, and carriers
  • Manage benefit enrollments, payroll coordination, problem resolution, COBRA administration, vendor management, open enrollment management, communications, benefits audit, and systems support
  • Process and track benefit plan enrollments
  • Ensure compliance with plan documents, regulatory guidelines, and company policies
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of all client benefits administration through monthly auditing
  • Serve as subject matter expert and facilitate implementation of HRIS benefits modules
  • Initiate, create, and manipulate various reports needed for accuracy of benefits administration
  • Research and respond to employee questions regarding benefits
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with carriers and clients
  • Assist in facilitating compliance and posting required benefits notices
  • Maintain an understanding of various employee benefit programs
  • Provide ongoing training to clients on HRIS systems

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in benefits administration or human resources
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and prioritize many tasks at once
  • Ability to work independently and manage consulting efforts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, client-first attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile when needed
  • Great team player with willingness to help others
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft products as well as experience with various HRIS and benefits administration systems
  • Bilingual; fluent in English/Spanish a plus
