Provide medical leadership for the practice and create a positive teamwork environment.
Manage associate veterinarians and support veterinarian staff in personal development of medical and administrative needs.
Ensure regulatory compliance related to the practice of veterinary medicine and develop/monitor compliance protocols.
Lead the staff and practice by growing the team, holding meetings, conducting annual reviews, and mentoring staff.
Partner with the Regional Operations Manager and Practice Manager to ensure compliance, assist in annual planning strategy, and develop a vision for clinic growth.
Partner with hospital leadership to ensure a culture of quality medicine, exceptional client service, and financial success for the clinic.
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, VMD, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Texas.
Ideally, 5+ years of veterinary medicine experience
Positive and effective leadership abilities
Ability to manage staff and outcomes with emotional intelligence
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
Delegation of tasks and achieving results with practice team members
