About the role

  • Conduct long-term assessments of wind resources
  • Perform uncertainty analyses and determine the probabilities of excess
  • Ensure the collection and quality control of wind measurements
  • Manage wind resource consultants as needed
  • Participation in the preliminary design of wind farms, taking into account identified constraints
  • Ability to work on solar production assessments

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position, or a combination of relevant training and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in meteorology, physics, engineering, or any other relevant field
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment with evolving requirements
  • Excellent summarizing and writing skills
  • Organizational skills, proactivity, rigor, and logic
  • Ability to work independently and strong team spirit and collaboration skills
  • Great curiosity and desire to learn
  • Proficiency in Windographer/OpenWind/WindPro/WAsP/MeteoDyn software
  • Knowledge of mapping software such as Global Mapper or ArcGIS is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) required to ensure collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec on a recurring basis.
