About the role
- Support the execution of the approved brand strategy through an overlay or developmental assignment
- Partner with a (Sr.) Specialty Account Manager or Executive Business Manager in high-volume territories, or independently manage emerging markets and pilot opportunities
- Build foundational specialty knowledge across Urology, Endocrinology, and/or Primary Care while developing strong selling capabilities and delivering compliant, high-quality customer engagement
- Drive demand through targeted account planning, effective clinical dialogue, and consistent execution, increasing the prescribing of Halozyme products and sustaining territory performance
- Deliver company-approved, compliant sales presentations to target prescribers and their office staff
- Utilize company-provided data and segmentation insights to plan and execute productive sales calls
- Educate physicians and nurses on Halozyme product labeling and patient self-injection techniques
- Coordinate and deliver lunch-and-learn programs and speaker programs
- Build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of managed health care plans, state and federal reimbursement policies, and prescription pull-through strategies
- Partner with accounts to ensure appropriate patient access and pull-through strategies
- Collaborate effectively with Commercial Home Office, Medical Affairs, and Key Opinion Leaders
- Exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Two or more years of pharmaceutical selling experience or related outside sales experience
- Knowledge of managed care and prescription pull-through tactics
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and apply insights into territory execution
- Demonstrated collaboration skills and change agility
- Ability to effectively manage a large, dynamic geographic territory
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel as necessary or required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel
