About the role

  • Third Party Inspection (TPI) Coordination Coordinate with client-appointed TPIs for inspection and release activities. Prepare Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), QAPs, and inspection dossiers. Arrange stage inspections, hold/witness points, and final release notes. Ensure closure of TPI comments. Maintain inspection records.
  • Casting Inspection Review foundry material specifications and test certificates. Witness chemical analysis, mechanical tests, and heat treatment. Inspect casting quality for surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and defects. Verify radiography, UT, MPI, and PT reports as applicable. Ensure compliance to ASTM/ASME/EN standards and drawing requirements.
  • Machining Inspection Perform in-process and final dimensional inspections. Verify machining tolerances, surface roughness, and geometrical controls. Review CMM reports and calibration status of measuring instruments. Ensure traceability of components through marking and records. Approve components for next process or final dispatch.
  • Supplier / Sub-Vendor Inspection Inspection at supplier End with respect to drawing, ITP, Project specification & Prepare inspection visit report.
  • GRN Inspection – Bought-Out & Fabricated Items Perform Goods Receipt Note (GRN) inspection for raw materials, bought-out items, and fabricated parts. Verify material test certificates (MTCs), heat numbers, quantities, and specifications. Check physical condition, packaging, and identification marking. Coordinate with Stores and Procurement for acceptance/rejection.
  • Document Review & Control Review quality records including MTCs, NDT reports, hydro test certificates, dimensional reports, calibration certificates, and heat treatment charts. Compile Manufacturing Record Books (MRB) / Data Dossiers. Ensure documents meet project and code requirements prior to submission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in QA/QC or inspection roles in manufacturing, fabrication, or EPC environments.
  • Strong exposure to castings, machining, and supplier inspection.
  • Experience handling TPI agencies (BV, TUV, DNV, LR, SGS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of material standards and NDT methods.
