About the role

  • Lead the design, analysis and development of high-complexity projects for compressed air products used in Industrial applications.
  • Lead engineering responsibilities of localising air compressors used in Industrial or related products.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the regions to ensure alignment with manufacturing, quality and other departments.
  • Apply advanced mechanical design principles and perform design calculations to optimize product performance and to ensure high-quality design outputs.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant global standards and regulations.
  • Lead design reviews, DFMEA sessions and participate in PFMEA and other quality assurance activities.
  • Utilize PLM systems for managing design data and ensure accurate documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' of Hands-on experience of leading New Product Development (NPD) or major VAVE projects of Industrial or related products.
  • 3+ years' experience in development of Package, Sub-systems and Components used in medium to large assemblies.
  • 3 to 5 years' hands-on experience in CAD tools such as Inventor or Creo and proficiency in PLM systems like Windchill or SAP.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards and their application in real-world scenarios.
  • Experience in the Industrial or related products with a focus on air compressors or equivalent products.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement design improvements.
  • Familiarity with FEA tools and interpretation of analysis results to ensure robust designs.
  • Handson experience of DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, Problem solving skills and Design Gate processes.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to manage and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
