About the role

  • Create detailed mechanical designs for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems used in vehicle installations
  • Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD).
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications
  • Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
  • Provide technical guidance during commissioning and troubleshoot any design-related issues
  • Identify opportunities for design optimization to improve performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.

Requirements

  • HNC or Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in designing hydraulic and pneumatic systems for vehicles or industrial applications along with sheet metal and fabrication work
  • Familiarity with electrical system integration is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the automotive industry
