Role overview: Principal or Senior Consultant with deep expertise in OSS, Service Management, and Telco Network Domain based in London office.
Lead and contribute to OSS transformation, service management optimisation, and network domain strategy engagements.
Utilise knowledge of Telco Network Domains (Fixed, Mobile, IP, Cloud, 5G, IoT) and associated processes (Network Planning & Design, Build & Deployment, Service Provisioning, Service Assurance, Inventory Management).
Apply understanding of OSS architectures, functions, and integration with BSS systems.
Provide expert advice on service management frameworks (ITIL, eTOM) within telecommunications context.
Analyse client business requirements, identify gaps, and develop practical solutions leveraging OSS best practices.
Define and document solution architectures, business process flows, and functional specifications related to OSS and network systems.
Contribute to thought leadership, methodologies, and frameworks within the OSS and network domain.
Participate in business development activities (proposal development, client presentations).
Collaborate with client stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
Mentor and coach junior consultants.
Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes; contribute to internal knowledge sharing and practice development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
8 to 12 years of relevant experience in consulting or within a telecommunications operator environment, with a strong focus on OSS and network domains.
In-depth understanding of OSS functional areas: Network Inventory Management, Service Provisioning, Service Assurance, Fault Management, Performance Management.
Solid understanding of Service Management principles and frameworks (ITIL, eTOM).
Proven ability to analyse complex business problems and translate them into actionable technical and business solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with technical and business audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in leading and facilitating workshops and client meetings.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Willingness to travel as required by client engagements.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable: experience with specific OSS/BSS vendor platforms; knowledge of data analytics and AI/ML in OSS; experience with agile methodologies and DevOps; relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, TOGAF); prior consulting experience at a major consulting firm.
