About the role
- Directs refinery personnel and contractors on the staging of RTI chemistry
- Safely sets up RTI equipment (places and connects RTI-owned pumps and hoses)
- Manages refinery contractors (mechanical fitters) as they connect RTI equipment to the injection points and plant utilities
- Operate and supervises others operating RTI-owned pumps during the chemical injection
- Leads clean-up efforts after the project and de-mobilizes equipment, per specified procedures
- Assists Operations Project Managers as requested
- Perform periodic, scheduled, and as needed maintenance on RTI Injection Pumps and Equipment
- Maintain a consistent level of competency on RTI Injection Pump Operation and Maintenance
Requirements
- Understanding of refinery piping circuits and PFD drawings of the application (strong mechanical aptitude)
- Ability to clearly and confidently communicate plans to refinery contractors (strong communication skills- written and verbal)
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems during the actual applications
- Documented mechanical aptitude or formal mechanical education
- Preference is given to those with process knowledge of upgrader, refinery or petrochemical units
- Valid passport and driver’s license
